I was in the city this weekend and crashing at my girlfriend’s place, so I decided to snap a few pics of Sunday’s look in her hallway. I had a pretty packed schedule, and setting up my tripod on the streets of Nolita, on a weekend, while taking pics of myself, seemed like a daunting task so I opted for the indoors. Her little boo, Oscar made a cameo – is he not the cutest!?!
Tip: Styling a crop top: I, personally am not a huge proponent of showing a lot of skin, so needless to say crop tops are a little threatening. Though I was definitely intrigued a few weeks ago when I spotted his oversized cropped top with a boxy silhouette, I knew it would make a perfect layering piece.
The key to layering a crop top is to look for slightly oversized pieces that are a cotton/poly blend or linen, a fabric with more construction and weight, not something that is light, breezy or too tight- save that for the bottom layer.
